Every year the fine folks at Scott Walker Audio host a two day event for their customers – the goal being to showcase the latest and greatest that they have to offer.
The first day is actually a private event for a local audio group that I’m part of. I wanted to detail my thoughts on the visit… what I liked and didn’t like.

Interesting take on system 2. Not surprisingly the Ideon components paired with the Magico speakers are a potent combination of detail retrieval easily stepping into clinical and surgical precision and just throwing in a “warm” sounding amp isnt going to fix that. In addition your preference for systems with character or soul or a specific form of musicality isnt going to gel with that form of musical reproduction. But you were pretty overt on telling us that about yourself so that was a good thing. However I do wonder if in this video and the choices you made on music if you weren’t looking for the wrong things, I don’t remember or think I heard you say anything about Melody or Harmony being reproduced in a way that was satisfying you didn’t talk about Musical reproduction you spent more time talking about sonics and Sounds, which I think maybe isn’t the focus of everyone listening to enjoy their music.
